Fox Valley Catholic Bible Study for Women offers a structured, Catholic daytime Scripture study. Study materials present biblical interpretation consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

This study is intended to provide opportunities for a deepening faith and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Participants are encouraged to recognize and strengthen the Body of Christ within their home parishes. Our study provides a supportive, loving, spiritual environment, fostering and celebrating a sense of community within the larger church. All area women are invited to attend.

Encountering the God of Faith, Hope and Love in the Bible
February 4th to March 18th, and
Finding Peace, Letting Go of Stress and Worry
April 8th to April 22nd

Faith, hope, and love are three vital dimensions of our life with God. Faith is entering into and clinging to a relationship with God. Hope is what we expect from that relationship. And love—the greatest of these—is the very essence of the relationship itself. In Encountering the God of Faith, Hope, and Love in the Bible, award-winning Scripture commentator Fr. George Smiga explores how God is revealed through various stages of salvation history—from the call of Abraham through the resurrection of Jesus—and how faith, hope, and love have evolved as our understanding of God grows. 

Stress has stitched itself into the fabric of modern life, slowly but surely weaving its way into the tapestry of our days. So many things worry us. So many things weary us. Where will we look for renewal? How can we restore the golden thread of peace into our lives? Finding Peace, Letting Go of Stress and Worry explores three New Testament passages, refreshing our minds and hearts in the love of God, our unity with Christ, and the peace that flows from loving one another.

Our Winter 2027 study will be held at St. John Neumann Church (2900 E. Main St, St Charles, IL) from February 4th to March 18th and from April 8th to April 22nd. A zoom only option is also available.

We gather at 9am. Meetings begin at 9:15am with an Opening Reflection Speaker. This is followed by discussion of the weekly lesson in small groups. The $30 fee includes the study materials. Children 2 and under will stay with their mothers in a special group.

Partial and full scholarships are available upon request.
